Authentication of foreign documents is the legal process of proving the genuineness of documents with the help of an authentication service agency. The authentic documents are then submitted by the individuals or the certified authentication service to the Consulate or the Embassy of the corresponding country.
According to the statistics, the number of people who regularly travel to the foreign countries is constantly increasing. The purposes for such travel may vary: from tourism to business. However, some people travel abroad with maleficent purposes or there are certain people who are unwelcome in some countries. In order to prevent such people from entering the country, and out of concern for the national security, the governments require those who express the intent to visit their countries to authenticate or legalize a set of certain documents. All these documents must to be submitted to the Consulate or the Embassy of the respective country.
Apostilles and authentications are basically synonymous terms which imply the verification of documents by the corresponding authorities. They only differ in the technical aspects: the documents that are submitted to the Consulate or the Embassy of a country that is a member of the Hague Convention (or the Apostille Treaty) have to be apostilled. In other cases, the documents must be duly authenticated or legalized.
We have described the process of apostille in detail here, so now let us explain how to authenticate documents and how you can benefit from using the authentication service agency Arcbase
By complying with the requirements we mean that the documents are translated and certified, photocopied and arranged in the necessary order.
Please keep in mind that you will be required to pay a fee for the authentication of foreign documents which is not refundable.
Usually, the process of authentication lasts no longer than a week.
Once the documents are authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they can be submitted to the Consulate or the Embassy of the country that you would like to visit.
